He was inspired by his father to pursue a career as a bodybuilder before later transitioning to acting. His father was a bodybuilder himself.
Life and Career Beginnings
Daniel Stisen was born on September 25, 1982, in Mandal Municipality, Norway. He is the eldest in a family of seven. As such, he was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps or at least choose a fulfilling career path. Daniel Stisen grew up looking up to his father.
His father was a bodybuilder, and he ran a gym. He would train in the gym, and Daniel Stisen would drop by the gym occasionally to see what was going on. You can say that Daniel Stisen practically grew up in the gym. He admired what his father was doing, and as time went by, he became more passionate about bodybuilding. His father would employ various bodybuilding styles which was nice to watch.
After watching his father for years, Daniel Stisen decided to give power sports a try, competing in his first powerlifting competition when he was 16. He did not win the championship, but he came in second. He continued training and by the time he was 20, he started competing in bodybuilding.
Bodybuilding Career
At 20, Danie Stisen was already a star and was doing pretty well for himself. He was doing all this while he was in college. He won a championship while in college and this built the foundation for his bodybuilding career. At 21, he was already lifting weights that were more than thrice his weight. For instance, in 2003, he squatted 370kg. He was 99kg at the time. From 2002 to 2008, Daniel Stisen had a successful bodybuilding career, participating in various competitions.
For almost a decade, Daniel Stisen had a great bodybuilding career. However, he suffered a major injury, which led him to quit weightlifting. Daniel tore his left thigh during a photo session for a Norwegian magazine.
Life Post-Bodybuilding
After quitting bodybuilding, Daniel Stisen chose to pursue a career in modeling and acting. He had always been interested in show business, and this was his chance to show his full potential. As such, he moved to Oslo, Norway, where he made guest appearances in a few films and television shows.
Despite having suffered a major injury, Daniel Stisen was still passionate about bodybuilding. As such, he continued with training but did not participate in any competitions. However, in 2009, he decided to put his focus on the entertainment industry, and his commitment has paid off.
Since the early 2010s, Daniel Stisen has written, acted, and produced several TV shows and films. He has been to various training schools with the goal of expanding his skill set. Daniel’s credits include Last Man Down, The Siege, Retribution, Run Faster, Clay’s Redemption, Paddington 2, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
