Xea Myers was always interested in working behind the scenes in the film industry and found a niche in production. She produced her first short film Be Inspired: The Life of Heavy D in 2012. In 2013, she was featured in the production of the TV series Unsung Restaurant Hustle 2020: All on the Line. It is a documentary starring America’s favorite chefs as they talk about their experiences running restaurant empires. Myers produced two episodes of Guy’s Grocery Games and Battle of the Decades in 2023. She has been on several episodes of Guy’s Grocery Games alongside her mother.

Xea Myers was born on 25 February 2000 in Los Angeles, California to Antonio Lofaso and Heavy D. Her mother is an American celebrity chef and restaurateur and her late father, Dwight Arrington Myers, was a rapper, record producer and actor. He released four solo albums and discovered Soul for Real and Monifah. Dwight was the leader of the Heavy D & the Boys group. He died in November 2011 from a pulmonary embolism.

Myers has lost around 100lbs working out from home. She is very passionate about fitness and often works out with her mother and uses that time to bond. She has been open about the grief she went through with her mother after the death of her father and how they coped.

Xea Myers’ mother, Antonia Lofaso, is an American chef and restaurateur who has made significant moves in the culinary world over the past few decades. She owns the restaurants Black Market Liquor Bar, Scopa Italian Roots and DAMA in Los Angeles, California. Her career began with her working as a chef at the Los Angeles restaurants Spago and Foxtail, and was a manager at Justin restraint.

She competed on season four of Top Chief in 2008 and came in fourth place, and third place during season eight. She went back to the show in 2014 competing against Mike Isabella and won. Lofaso is a frequent judge on the Guy’s Grocery Games show, Cutthroat Kitchen and Worst Cooks in America. She served as a culinary consultant for the CNBC television show, Restaurant Startup, in 2015 and 2016. In 2020, she made an appearance on Selena Gomez’s cooking show Selena Chef and was on the 16th season of The Bachelorette.

Lofaso graduated from the French Culinary Institute, and her time in school she worked as the manager at Sean Combs’ restaurant, Justin. She is the mother to one daughter Xea Myers, and welcomed her with the late rapper Heavy D. She is vocal about being an intentional mother and has talked about her daughter during her shows.
