Meet Enzo Bartoccioli, an Italian Film Editor and the Husband of the Late Suze Rotolo

Enzo Bartoccioli is an Italian film editor and producer known for Cherry Hill High and Hide and Seek. He also worked as a film editor for the United Nations. Besides his career in the entertainment industry, Enzo was also the husband of American artist Suze Rotolo. The two were married for over four decades. They kept their promise to each other as they stayed up until Suze’s death. The couple had one child together.

Background

Enzo Bartoccioli was born in July 1940 in Perugia, Italy. He had a normal childhood, and he mainly focused on his studies. However, he later became interested in show business. As such, he has worked with various companies and organizations like the United Nations.

Personal Life

Enzo Bartoccioli was working for the United Nations when he met Suze Rotolo. The two seemed to like each other, and they became close and later began dating. After dating for a while, Enzo and Suze decided to make their relationship official in 1970, doing so in the presence of their family and friends. A few years later, the couple was blessed with a child, a son who works as a guitarist in New York City.

Enzo maintains a close relationship with his son and often creates time to go and visit him.

His Wife Was In a Prior Relationship Before they met

Suze Rotolo got into her first relationship in 1961, soon after completing her high school education. She met singer and songwriter Bob Dylan at a concert. The two became close, and they soon began dating. Dylan was quite amused by Suze Rotolo’s beauty. He could not take his eyes off her. In one of his memoirs, Bob Dylan noted that Suze Rotolo was the most erotic thing she had seen.

A few months later, Suze Rotolo began staying with Dylan. Her parents did not approve of this, but she loved him anyway. In 1963, Suze became pregnant but then had an abortion. Given Dylan’s growing fame and the abortion, it became stressful to maintain their relationship. As such, the two decided to part ways. Suze travelled to Cuba and a few years later, she met Enzo Bartoccioli, a man she spent over 40 years with.

His Wife’s Professional Life

Enzo’s wife was involved in so many things. She was in the art industry as an illustrator and painter. She was based in New York, where she did most of her artwork. She was also active politically, championing civil rights in the ’60s through the 1970s.

Suze Rotolo has been portrayed in various films, including I’m Not There. Her beauty played a major role, and her relationship with Bob Dylan propelled her to stardom. However, she rarely spoke of her relationship with Bob. Enzo’s wife died on February 25, 2011, aged 67. She had been battling lung cancer for a while.

Life After His Wife’s Death

When Suze Rotolo died in 2011, Enzo Bartoccioli was quite devastated. The two had been married and in love for over four decades. Regardless, life has to go on. However, it is hard to tell if Enzo Bartoccioli remarried or not.
